Fishers International, the financial services group, has agreed to buy the business of IRISC Technical Services (ITS) for an undisclosed sum. ITS provides specialists and technical loss adjusters and acts for insurers, reinsurers and underwriters on a worldwide basis, operating from offices in London, Munich, Dubai, Hong Kong, Caracas and Bogota. It had a turnover of £3.8 million in 1997. Fishers will not be acquiring the Houston based operations of ITS. These will remain within the IRISC group.

A new Fishers subsidiary will acquire the business of ITS and this will form the basis of a new international loss adjusting division which will start operations with 30 employees.
