Finnish farmers improve relations with their tractors

"IT'S good to talk... to your tractor." At least that is what they say in Finland

"IT'S good to talk . . . to your tractor." At least that is what they say in Finland. A Finnish company has said it has designed a system to let farmers call up their tractors by mobile phone to see how they are doing.

The system, which is still being tested, will collect data through sensors on the tractor and relay it through an automatic digital mobile link to a central computerised maintenance system, according to designer Sisu Tractors.

Farmers will also be able to use the remote system to check on their tractor's movements and vital signs like engine temperature and oil pressure. The Margin can't somehow see Miley using one.
