The Irish funds industry has extended its reach in Asia through the opening of two new representative offices.

Through a joint venture with the IDA, the Irish Funds Industry Association will now have agents on the ground in Singapore and Tokyo. The move was announced during a visit by a funds industry delegation led by former taoiseach John Bruton, president of IFSC Ireland, to the region.

Ken Owens, association chairman, said the new offices would play an “important role in our efforts to expand business in Asia”.
