The management of financial services firms suspected of regulatory breaches could be compelled to appear before public inquiries in the future, if new Central Bank proposals are introduced.

Draft guidelines published yesterday specify that members of the public and the media will, in general, be entitled to attend inquiries into suspected breaches of regulations by financial firms.
