Fund administration company Butterfield Fulcrum is to create 150 jobs in Dublin over the next three years as it expands its business.
The company, which provides investment services, first opened offices in 2009 in Ireland, where it already employs 100 people.
The 150 new jobs will be created over the next three years in the areas of middle office and customer-relationship management, according to IDA Ireland, which worked with the company on the investment.
"This is testament not only to the business environment for international financial services which we have created but also to the excellent skills that are available here," Minister for Jobs Richard Bruton said.
Butterfield Fulcrum chief executive officer Glenn Henderson said the firm has had a very positive experience in Dublin.
"Our experience with the Irish labour market has been phenomenal," he said. "Our clients have been very impressed with the calibre of those we have hired in Ireland. Today's expansion is as a result of this success."
IDA Ireland chief executive officer Barry O’Leary said the expansion established Ireland's reputation as a global centre for fund administration.
"The success and accelerated growth of the company’s Irish operations demonstrates Ireland’s ability to host international financial services companies and provide the highly-skilled employees they require for rapid growth," he said.
