Offers for Anglo Irish Bank’s $10 billion US loan book will be assessed today following a deadline for bids yesterday in New York.

US property broker Eastdil Secured and FTI Consulting are advising Anglo on the sale. Second-round bids will be sought later this month.

The portfolio comprises 251 loans of about $9.8 billion and a loan of $345 million on the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Boston, directly owned by the bank.
