AIB ceases NYSE trading

AIB has officially ceased trading on the New York Stock Exchange, it was confirmed today.

AIB has officially ceased trading on the New York Stock Exchange, it was confirmed today.

The bank said its American Depositary Shares (ADS) have been deemed to be delisted and it would contact affected shareholders with further information.

AIB said it intends to terminate the ADS facility by ending the agreement between AIB and the Bank of New York Mellon as depositary.

It will also deregister its securities and terminate its obligations under the US Securities Exchange Act.

AIB shares will continue to trade of the Enterprise Securities Market of the Irish Stock Exchange.
