THE Small Firms' Association has called on the Minister for Finance to abolish Section of the Finance Act, claiming its provisions make it difficult for small companies to gain access to finance.

SFA director Mr Brendan Butler said yesterday the section, which gives financial institutions and the Revenue Commissioners a call over company debts, increasingly left many firms caught in the middle of a "power struggle" between both creditors and prevented firms them from securing new finance.
