TG4 will next weekend broadcast The Resistors, an animated feature film, which it is hoped will stimulate an interest in science among children aged 8-12.

The film was produced by educational media company Metadigita Ltd and the animation was created by Rumble Studios.

The project was funded by Centre for Telecommunications Value-Chain Research, a Science Foundation Ireland initiative, which has a remit to run a schools outreach programme to encourage more students to take science and technology courses.

The show was first broadcast a series last year. This time, however, it is being shown in its entirety to coincide with Science Week.

The Resistors will be broadcast 4.15pm on Saturday, November 17th, on TG4.
