NEW fish and chip takeaway outlet is to be opened by Harry Ramsden's in the Jervis shopping centre in Dublin at the end of next month and sites for newt outlets are being sought in Cork, Limerick and Galway, the Yorkshire based company said yesterday.

The new counter service outlet in Dublin is being developed in partnership with Compass, the catering group. It will complement, Harry Ramsden's existing restaurant on the Naas Road, which is jointly owned with Jack Charlton and other Irish investors.

Alter early losses following its 1994 opening, the Naas Road outlet traded profitably last year, benefiting from growing "brand awareness".
