Irish mineral exploration group Ormonde Mining and its partner, Antofagasta, are to begin a drilling programme on their La Zarza copper prospect in Spain following encouraging survey results.

They have agreed a programme of 3,000m of drilling, with work expected to begin shortly. Ormonde’s managing director, Kerr Andersen, said the drilling would target areas identified by the surveys.
