Irish LED company Nualight has signed a multimillion-euro contract with 800 co-operative stores in the UK.

Irish LED company Nualight has signed a multimillion-euro contract with 800 co-operative stores in the UK.

The company, which was founded by Dr Liam Kelly, manufactures energy-saving LED lighting for the food retail sector. The technology is also designed to boost the visual impact of food displays. The Co-operative Group has more than 3,000 food stores and supermarkets in the UK.

Nualight already provides LED lighting to Tesco in the UK, as well as Morrisons, Marks and Spencer and Sainsbury’s.

Last year it signed a deal with the Fresh Easy chain of stores in the US.
