The Bank of France has trimmed its forecast for French economic growth in the third quarter to 0.1 per cent from 0.2 per cent previously, it said in its monthly business climate survey.

In the report for August, the central bank said that the business climate was broadly stable compared to July with its sentiment indicator unchanged at 98.

Industrial activity was stable in August with central bank's sentiment indicator for the sector unchanged at 98 from July while the index for the service sector eased to 97 from 98.
