The EBS has raised its mortgage interest rates. Its variable mortgage rate will increase from 4.25 per cent to 4.5 per cent from next month. The move follows the 0.25 of a percentage point rise in European Central Bank rates. EBS has also introduced a new discounted variable rate for new customers of 3.95 per cent.
