EBS Building Society has set up an operation on the Isle of Man. The new subsidiary will offer a variety of savings accounts including instant access, 90-day notice, fixed rates and growth bonds. Deposits are available in pounds, sterling, dollars and deutschmarks. Mr Mike Lennon, general manager of treasury and funding, said EBS was "confident the offshore savings accounts will prove attractive to many investors".
