THE traditional rivalry between Dublin and Cork was further fuelled this week with the launch of a new gin to compete with Munster's best, Cork Dry Gin.

Dublin Dry Gin, which is being introduced by the C&C subsidiary Grants of Ireland, even sports the blue Dublin GAA colours.

The battle between the capital and the second city could now spill out into the bars, and like some red blooded GAA encounters, use of the elbows could be a key factor.
