AN American company, US Robotics, is to set up a European customer support centre in Dublin which will create over 100 new jobs over the next three years. Most of, the jobs will be for engineers and technicians with skills in data communications and European languages.

US Robotics is one of the world's leading suppliers of high performance data communication products and systems for the computer networking market, according to the Minister for Enterprise and Employment, Mr Bruton.

The Dublin customer support centre will involve an investment of £1.8 million and will provide multilingual technical support to European users of US Robotics' networking systems.
