Dublin PR agency Gordon MRM has retained the contract for the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) for three years after a public procurement process.

Gordon MRM, headed by Ray Gordon, secured the previous NTMA PR contract in 2010.

The new arrangement commenced on January 1st this year.

PR work for the NTMA-Nama is lucrative, with Minister for Finance Michael Noonan confirming in a written Dáil response to Sinn Féin's Pearse Doherty that Nama spent €198,980 (inclusive of VAT) on the NTMA's PR contract in 2010 and 2011.

Mr Noonan confirmed that Nama spent €135,948 in 2011 and €63,032 in 2010 as part of the external PR contract.

Nama and Gordon MRM declined to comment on the new contract yesterday.

Gordon MRM's other clients include Irish Life and the Irish Stock Exchange.
