DRAGON Oil has made a significant gas discovery in Thailand as part of a consortium headed by oil giant Texaco

DRAGON Oil has made a significant gas discovery in Thailand as part of a consortium headed by oil giant Texaco. According to Dragon, the Bussabong 2X offshore well flowed 21 million cubic feet of gas and 115 barrels of gas condensate a day from one of three zones tested.

According to Dragon, the results of this well are being evaluated to determine the future work programme on the licence. Dragon has a 35 per cent interest in the licence, with Texaco holding 65 per cent.
