Ritz Music, the Ofex-listed country music label which is planning a flotation on Nasdaq this year, has more than doubled its profits for the six months to the end of March 1997. Profits rose from £231,013 to £552,029 on turnover of £3.9 million in the first half to March 1997 compared to turnover of £4.9 million for the 12-month period to March 1996. Ritz's artistes come from the middle of the road and include Donegal singer Daniel O'Donnell, Mary Black, Sinead Lohan as well as international performers such as Emmylou Harris and Joan Baez. The Nasdaq flotation is aimed at financing a major US tour by Daniel O'Donnell.
