Friends First director of research, Mr Shane Whelan, has left the group to set up an independent actuarial research company

Friends First director of research, Mr Shane Whelan, has left the group to set up an independent actuarial research company. The Irish Association of Pension Funds has committed to funding a third of his time and is his first customer. The move follows news of the departure of Friends First fund manager, Mr Pramit Ghose, to join the merged CGU and Norwich Union groups.
