THE Belfast company Delta Print and Packaging, set up 16 years ago with just two employees, has won the Compaq all Ireland Trade Award for its achievements in cross Border trading. It was given the prize ahead of four other finalists Golden Vale, Sperrin Metals, Belleek Pottery, and the Waterford company, Edward Flahavan, and Sons. Delta managing director Mr Terry Cross said the company's success had been built on an all Ireland business.

Delta, currently implementing a £6 million expansion programme, now employs nearly 100 people. Turnover is expected to reach £9 million next year. Its customers include Guinness, Bass Ireland, and the Newry veterinary pharmaceuticals company, Norbrook Laboratories.
