Spread betting operator Delta Index lost €978,000 before tax last year, down from the €1.4 million shortfall it recorded in 2007.

Figures filed by the firm with the Companies’ Registration Office show that turnover grew slightly to €3.58 million in 2008 from €3.46 million the previous year. The company cut costs under a number of headings to reduce the losses it recorded in 2008.
