Datalex, the Howth-based airline software specialist, has appointed a new president for its group of companies

Datalex, the Howth-based airline software specialist, has appointed a new president for its group of companies. The newly created position will be filled by Mr Jim Peters, formerly president of Datalex USA, chief technology officer and senior vice-president of corporate strategy for the Datalex group. Mr Peters will relocate to Dublin from Atlanta, where he co-founded Web Ventures, a company purchased by Datalex in December 1998. Mr Peters will now be charged with driving the company's aggressive growth strategy. The company has made eight acquisitions since mid-1998.

Datalex chief executive officer Mr Neil Wilson will now concentrate on managing the company's growth and acquisition strategy.
