International railway systems company, Adtranz, has been awarded a £7.3 million contract to extend the DART line northwards to Malahide and southwards to Greystones. Adtranz is the rail joint venture between Germany's Daimler-Benz and Swiss engineering group ABB and employ about 22,000 people in 60 countries. The extension of the DART line was announced several months ago by CIE.
