AFTER having suffered its biggest loss in history last year, Germany's leading industrial group, Daimler-Benz, is back on the road to profitability this year, but there are still some loss centres, especially in aviation.

"We are confident about 1996," said group chairman, Mr Jurgen Schrempp, yesterday at a Stuttgart news conference on the group's balance sheet. "The group is on the right road."
