Britain's Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said yesterday it was dropping its proceedings against Lanica Trust's Mr Andrew Regan but police investigations into his aborted bid for the Co-operative Wholesale Society (CWS) would continue. The CPS has discontinued the case to allow the police more time to look into the circumstances surrounding the alleged theft of documents connected with plans to launch a £1.2 billion sterling bid for the CWS.
