Cove Energy, the listed exploration company focused on offshore east Africa, says appraisal of its Barquentine gas discovery in the Rovuma block off Mozambique is under way.
Cove has a stake in a series of wells where the operator, Anadarko, has discovered enough gas to support a liquid natural gas facility. Anadarko is working on identifying coastal land sites for such a facility and a preliminary gas development plan.
