A TIERED rate of corporation tax for small business should feature in next week's Budget, according to Fine Gael TD, Mr Michael Creed, chairman of the joint Oireachtas committee on small business and services. A corporation tax rate of 25 per cent for small business would release about £30 million of working capital for small business and be a further significant dynamic for job creation, he told a UCC commerce and economics seminar. There is a serious need for an overhaul of FAS, the State training agency, he said.
