THE Exchequer has received an extra £700 million in motor related revenue over the past four years and should now reduce Vehicle Registration Tax to a flat rate of 20 per cent, a motor industry lobby group said yesterday. Releasing the findings of a survey, the Society of the Irish Motor Industry also said 2,436 new jobs had been created in the sector since 1995.
