French information technology group Bull said that its revenue from British and Irish operations has increased by 14 per cent to £164.3 million sterling for the six months to the end of June.

The interim figures do not include results from the Irish computer company Cara in which Bull acquired a majority stake last year. Bull declined to give half year results for Cara but said its profits had increased by 61 per cent during the first six months of this year. Bull Ireland and Cara had a combined turnover of £49 million last year.
