THE Fashion and Footwear Federation has urged the Government to lower the standard rate of VAT in the Budget and to boost the take home pay of those on low incomes. It has also called, in its pre Budget submission, for a reduction in the lower 9 per cent employers' PRSI rate to 5 per cent. The federation has also announced its affiliation to IBEC.
