INVESTMENT group Guinness Peat has announced it has completed the sale of Brown Shipley Stockbroking and Brown Shipley PEP Managers to Birmingham based stockbroker Albert E. Sharp Holdings. Sharp said the purchase price was between £6 million sterling and £7 million, excluding the Brown Shipley Stockbroking pension fund surplus. It said the acquisition would create the largest national independent firm of stockbrokers.
