THE British construction industry enjoyed a boost over the winter, figures revealed yesterday. During the three months to the end of January, new orders jumped by 8 per cent compared with the previous three months, according to the Department of the Environment: The main sectors to enjoy the increases were private housing, infrastructure, private industrial and commercial areas.
