BREWING profits have continued to grow with at brewing and leisure group Bass even though the trading performance in the first half of the year was weaker than expected. In a trading statement, Bass chairman Sir Ian Prosser sad that key beer brands including Caffrey's "performing well". Sales of Caffrey's, brewed in Belfast, reached 420,000 barrels in the 12 months to last September and are projected to increase by around one-third to about 650,000 this year.
