IRELAND is on the brink of a new era whereby the number of property investors is going to grow significantly, a conference in Dublin was told yesterday. Estate agent Mr Fintan Gunne told the conference, held by Lombard Property Finance, that thousands of people have joined the ranks of landlords over the past few years. It is estimated that around 30 per cent of all apartments bought in Dublin in the last five years were bought for investment, he said.
