The long awaited Finance Bill (well in some quarters anyway) was published on Thursday and contained new measures to close tax loopholes as well as some consumer orientated measures. The greyhound industry got its tax breaks which included an exemption from tax of income from greyhound stud fees on the same basis as stallion stud fees. The delights of the Finance Bill are available in disk form from the Government Publications Office, at a price of £14, including VAT, one presumes.
