DCC's chief executive, Mr Jim Flavin and executive director, Mr Morgan Crowe, shared a total remuneration package worth £485,000 in the year to the end of last March.

According to its annual report, the two directors shared a basic salary of £357,000 plus benefits worth £38,000 and pension contributions of £90,000.

The three non executive directors, chairman, Mr Alex Spain, Mr Tony Barry and Mr Paddy Gallagher, shared fees of £80,000 plus pension payments of £10,000. The company also made an ex gratia payment of £12,000 to a retired non executive director, according to the report.

Overall, the company paid a total remuneration package of £587,000 to its directors.
