THE High Court has adjourned consideration of a rescue plan for Bell Lines to enable new investors to finalise their decision in relation to the investment. Mr Bill Shipsey, SC, for the examiner, accountant Mr David Hughes, applied for the adjournment.requested an adjournment to enable them to finalise their decision in relation to the proposed investment.

As far as Waterford Harbour Commissioners and the Department of the Marine were concerned, there were ongoing discussions with the examiner, he said. While he could not predict the outcome, there was progress in relation to their objections, but there were difficulties to be overcome.

Mr Justice Shanley adjourned consideration of the scheme of arrangement until Friday.
