BARLO chief executive, Dr Tony Mullins has increased his stake in the engineering and plastics group by one million shares by buying additional shares through warrants and on the market.

Dr Mullins, through Syden Investments, exercised warrants over 500,000 shares at 20p each and bought a further 500,000 shares in the market at 52p each. Dr Mullins spent a total of £360,000 on the extra shares which are worth £520,000 at the current market rate. He now holds 4.75 million Barlo shares or 2.8 per cent of the total. Four other Barlo directors also bought shares in the market at 52p Mr Lionel Stammers (100,000 shares), Mr Niall Carroll (25,000 shares), Mr John Farrell (25,000 shares) and Mr John Burke (40,000 shares).
