Bank of Ireland plans to introduce personal identification numbers (PINs) for customers using its telephone banking service, Banking 365. Over the coming weeks customers, who have used the service since May 1996, will be issued with a six digit number, which will be like a standard PASS number. The PINs will replace the current method of verbal questions which customers are asked before account queries or transactions can be dealt with.
