THE managing director of the largest Irish owned snack food manufacturer has won a prestigious marketing award, Marketing Magazine said last night. Mr Raymond Coyle, of Largo Foods Ltd and Potato Cuisine, was presented with the 1996 Marketer of the "Year Award "for demonstrating innovation and responsiveness to market needs which turned Largo Foods in just over 14 years into a £20 million business".

Potato Cuisine makes a range of fresh chilled potato products and is expected to hire 60 people in the next two years.

Mr Coyle has also purchased a herd of 60 American buffalo in order to research the opportunities of producing and marketing bison meat in Ireland.
