Ardagh's tender to buy back shares has been heavily oversubscribed, with applications received to sell back almost 4.6 million shares - almost double the number for which Ardagh sought tenders. All shareholders were entitled to sell back 1,000 shares at the €1.61 tender price - a total of 456,043 shares.
