Apple Computer Inc's interim chief executive Mr Steve Jobs is expected to decide whether he wants to become the company's CEO on a permanent basis, when he returns today from his holiday in Hawaii.

Earlier this month, while addressing a Macromedia Inc. users conference, Mr Jobs was asked when he was going to drop the "interim" from his title. Jobs said he was going to go on a holiday to Hawaii and "think about it".
