OFFALY has won the 1995 All-Ireland

OFFALY has won the 1995 All-Ireland. Not in hurling or football, you understand, but the 1995 Cecil King All-Ireland Young Manager award which was won by Tom Shiel.

Presented this week by Dame Ruth King, the award is named after the Irishman who was chairman of the world's largest publishing company, IPC, and of Reed International. Tom Shiel is manufacturing manager at Sherwood Medical in Tullamore, Co Offaly, which employs 600 people.
