AFRICAN Gold is to join the CREST share trading system. Shareholders will now be able to hold their shares in an electronic form, as a computer record, rather than on a paper.

Chairman Dr John Teeling has announced that the expansion of the Inez gold mine in Zimbabwe is now complete and commissioning is taking place. Construction of the Beehive mine is scheduled to start in the middle of the year.
