ACCA elects president

THE ASSOCIATION of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in Ireland has appointed Ronnie Patton as president.

THE ASSOCIATION of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in Ireland has appointed Ronnie Patton as president.

A senior lecturer in professional accounting at the University of Ulster, he has worked in accountancy practice and industry. Mr Patton said he intends to strengthen links between education and business so that the ACCA qualification will be the preferred option. Tom Murray of Dublin insolvency firm Friel Stafford is deputy president.
