TWO old comrades in arms met up when the Taoiseach, Mr Bruton, performed the official opening ceremony at Insurance House, the new offices on Molesworth St Dublin, being shared by the Irish Insurance Federation, the Insurance Institute and the Motor Insurers Bureau.

The chief executive of the Insurance Federation, Denis Healy, served in Lebanon in 1984 with the UN peacekeeping force, as did Mr Bruton's aide de camp, Capt Maurice McQuillan. The request that Mr Bruton perform the official opening, the Margin is assured, went through official channels and not any "old boys network".
