Enterprise Ireland made £50 million (€63

Enterprise Ireland made £50 million (€63.5 million) from the sale of equity investments in client firms in the first six months of the year, double the figure for the whole of 1999, a meeting of the Dail Public Accounts Committee heard yesterday.

Enterprise Ireland chief executive Mr Dan Flinter said the agency had doubled its yield from equity sales on 1999 when it made around £25 million.
