OVERSEAS investment made a net contribution of more than £3 billion last year to the Republic's economy, and was the driving force behind its growth, according to a new business guide. The Coopers & Lybrand publication stresses that the diversification of investment, and the roots new companies put down in Ireland, have also strengthened the economy.
